"We had a nice room with the basics which is what we needed. It was on the ground level. Our key pass only worked on one of the outside doors which was a minor inconvenience. We would like to have had a smoking room, and they had one available, but there was no elevator to the second floor so we did without. I would stay at this hotel again."

We offer great value and Midwestern hospitality at the Golden Rule Motel of Lawrence. Enjoy our clean and comfortable accommodations and dont pay for extras you dont want or need. We now offer free high speed internet access. We offer 1 free 10 minute long distance call anywhere in the USA each day. Free local telephone calls, free hot beverages, juice and pastries each morning are offered. Guest rooms feature in-room coffee, clock-radio, safe, and nightlight and satellite TV w/HBO. We have a coin operated laundry and interior corridors with enhanced-security electronic locks for our guests. Children under 12 stay free. Cribs are available on request, Danny Foundation approved. Disabled accessible rooms have one bed and tub with a seat. The motel is FEMA approved and, we are dog friendly, 10USD fee per stay. There are a limited number of refrigerators available. There is easy on and off access from I-70.
